Lead System Architect

[Confidential – Medical sector]

Context :
You will become the system architecture lead for a major strategic program. You will be at the heart of platform decisions, from early definition through long-term evolution, ensuring system consistency, clinical value, and business impact.

Main responsibilities :

• Define and drive the system architecture of the platform, from requirements gathering through to industrialization handover and market launch, working with the program manager
• Design a modular architecture integrating medical devices, software, connectivity, data, and services, enabling parallel development of subsystems
• Define interfaces, modular boundaries, and data models to facilitate system integration, verification, and validation
• Bring hardware, software, digital, and services teams together around a clear, shared architecture vision
• Contribute to strategic program decisions and ensure alignment between technical, clinical, industrial, and business considerations

Cross-functional management : approx. 40 people currently => Planned scale-up: +150 people over time
Close core team: 15 direct team leads

You have significant experience in system architecture for complex systems (approximately 15 years or more).

Required skills :

• Proven experience in modular platform design, system decomposition, and interface management for complex products
• Demonstrated ability to design products for concurrent engineering, early integration, and efficient verification and validation
• Demonstrated ability to translate clinical and business needs into robust architecture decisions
• Technical credibility and natural leadership in complex, regulated environments
• Experience in the medical device industry
• Fluent English, spoken and written, in a multi-site international context

Preferred skills :

• INCOSE and/or IREB certification is a strong plus
• Knowledge of SAFe or another Agile framework is a plus for this role

On-site presence : minimum 50% of the time / Open to location within Europe
Flexible arrangements : 3 days/week or one week on, one week off
